I’m a self-taught 20-year-old artist from the Southern United States. I started drawing as soon as I was old enough to hold a pencil, but didn’t start focusing on self-critique or seeking to improve my anatomy work until I was about 18. Prior to then I just assumed my art would improve naturally, but over the past few years I’ve taken steps to actually make it improve, with practice as well as observation and relying on criticism. My portfolio site is http://pink-noise.net.

A Lost Art

“A Lost Art” I like what I was going for with concept (something abstract) but the execution lacked completely. – 2007 (age 19)

A Lost Art

“Molotov” Redrawn and repainted solely for myself because I really DID like the idea, but felt it could really be done better. – 2009

“Juicy” A big difference 6 months can make!
Done in Prismacolor marker. – 2009

Art to me has been a big part of my life and it’s very strange to me that a few years ago I didn’t seek to improve. Either I felt my art satisfactory at the time (which to me can be a death sentence, creatively) or I just decided there wasn’t any way I could improve. There is always room for one to improve, grow and change themselves as an artist. Otherwise could become so boring to me.
